I'd like to keep my extensions up to date, and I have my "allow automatic updates" setting on. When I look at my extensions on the extension page, I often see the message "This extension will be updated when Firefox restarts" with a button to update the extension now. I do not restart my browser often and do not want to manually check if the extension has been updated, hence why I have automatic updates on.

How can I have Firefox keep my extensions updated without having to manually check if there are updates and without restarting Firefox?
